Golosissima novità in arrivo dal fronte Robot Chicken, la pluripremiata serie animata che sbeffeggia i più importanti momenti del mondo del cinema. Il sito ufficiale Star Wars.com ha infatti annunciato la prossima uscita di un terzo capitolo dedicato alla saga, che si intitolerà Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III. Un’altra parodia per l’esalogia quindi, dopo i precedenti Star Wars Special del 2008 e Star Wars Episode II del 2009.
E’ stata già resa nota la data di messa in onda del nuovo episodio: 21 dicembre, alle ore 11.30 pm.
“We’re telling more of a linear story this time that covers the series from start to finish,” says Green. Senreich says, “We wanted to take the Star Wars universe and see if through the eyes of our Robot Chicken: Star Wars Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Gary the Stormtrooper. We’ll still flip around the universe but we’ll get a unique perspective from the bad guy side, from people who just want to rule the universe.”
I creatori, Green e Senreich, ci fanno dunque sapere di voler continuare con il tradizionale filone irriverente della serie, questa volta visto dagli occhi dei “cattivoni” che vogliono semplicemente governare l’intero universo. L’episodio sarà diretto da Chris McKay e al doppiaggio parteciperanno diverse personalità:
“Zac Efron as Anakin Skywalker, Anthony Daniels (from the original Star Wars films) as C-3PO, Mike Henry (co-creator of The Cleveland Show) and Donald Glover (Community), all making their first appearance in RCSW. Also returning from the previous specials are Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian and Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks”.
Non ci resta che attendere altre notizie e magari una preview della nuova parodia!
